Safety & Equipment

Our number one charter is to ensure safe return of all our travelers. Therefore, our master mountain biking guides are all well trained and certified. We carry with us a comprehensive set of first aid, and communication devices. Unlike most mountain biking tour companies, the tour package includes compulsory insurance for both riders and non riders, which include local hospitalization as well as medical evacuation.

First-aid

Our master guides are certified to lead the tour while advising the riders of any potential danger and adjusting the rides accordingly. Nonetheless, from time to time there are minor injuries that we are fully equipped and trained to take care of during the ride and on board the boat.

Communications Equipment

We ensure constant radio communications between the tour master and the tour tail as well as mobile phone link with the boat and our support vehicle. In all areas, we have a ready list and plan of evacuation to the nearest hospital.

Biking Equipment

Most of our riders arrive with their own biking gear, spare tires and other spare parts and accessories. Riding your own bike is recommended for both perform ace and safety. In addition, we do our best to provide on trail and on-boat technical support, including basic spare parts. Some of the riders prefer to rent their bikes locally and we plan to facilitate that, based on your registration preferences. The rented mountain bikes are single suspension type and are good enough for the full trails and can also be used by your non-riding companion for local touring of the villages we stop by. Insurance

We highly recommend purchasing international medical insurance as well as a travel insurance policy for any trip abroad. People travelling with BlueBird Riders may purchase such policies from us. We insure our travellers with insurance policies by The Pheonix Insurance Company Ltd.

Bike Insurance

As part of the medical insurance, our insurer offers an optional coverage for the bike covering damages to the bike according to the following prices:

1. $2000 worth of damages - $45 for the entire trip

2. $4000 worth of damages - $75 for the entire trip
3. $6000 worth of damages - $100 for the entire trip
