Dubrovnik to Croatia Islands
Croatia
Sail the magical sea and islands along the Croatian Coastline
The Croatian coastline and Adriatic islands are amongst the world’s most beautiful tourist gems. The ancient port cities of Venice, Dubrovnik, Split, and Hvar were made famous during the 19th century as a summer destination for the rich, famous and nobility. To date, we can spot the lavish yachts of Bill Gates, Donald Trump and Hollywood celebrities frequent these shores. In 2009, we discovered that these islands are also a true paradise for bikers. We believe that in order to make our seven day bike journey an unforgettable adventure, it should be challenging but pampering. Our floating hotel yacht “Dionis” transports us daily from one island to the other, and waits for us at the end of each trail with a rich meal, a dip in the calm blue waters, spacious decks and air-conditioned cabins.
Our trips are ideal for spouses or friends who do not necessarily bike, as well as for any vacationer who enjoys the active, yet pampering atmosphere aboard our cruises.

Day 1: Embarking from Dubrovnik
We embark “Dionis”, our floating 20-cabin hotel, at the world-famous port city of Dubrovnik. Following a welcome meal, we will settle into our cabins for a 3.5 hour rest and sail to the port town of Pomena, on the island of Mijet.
The bikers will assemble their bikes and take a short “warm-up ride”, while the rest of us will enjoy a short walk to Malo Lake.
Day 2: Mijet National Park
The riders will tour Mijet National Park on an easy 30-45 km off road ride, while the rest will tour the park by foot.
The park is home to one of the best preserved pine forests in Europe as well as several pristine blue lakes.
We will rejoin on the yacht in the early afternoon for a big après-bike lunch and a short dip in the calm water. A short, 2.5 hour sail will bring us to our next destination, the island of Lastovo, where we will anchor for the evening.
Day 3: Lastovo, Augusta Insula
Lastovo is considered a true haven for bikers. We will challenge ourselves with its diverse mountainous terrain (30-45 km).
Our non-riding companions will enjoy the many churches, chapels and ancient monasteries on the island, as well as its famous Lastovo Maraština white wine.
You may also choose to rent a vehicle, bike, moped or motorbike to explore this small and beautiful island on your own.
Following a swim we will sail four hours to the ancient port city of Komiza on the island of Vis, where we will enjoy a rich dinner prepared by the yacht’s chef.
Day 4: Vis and the Blue Cave
This is probably the most challenging but also the most beautiful day of our journey. Our riders will bike 40-50 km on the island of Vis, including several (optional) singles, the best of which is the “Lighthouse Single”.
Those who can get along without pedals and wheels will embark on a short sail (one hour) to the wonderful Blue Cave on the island of Bisevo. After a refreshing dip in the water, we will sail eastward to observe Vis’ famous lighthouse and its adjoining bay. An additional 30 minute sail will bring us to the port town of Vis.
Those interested (usually everybody) will be transported to a high outlook overlooking Vis, for a joint picnic with the riders (20 Euro), where we will enjoy the authentic lwines, meats and treats of the local cuisine. We will glide down with our stomachs full to the town of Vis and set sail toward the island of Hvar.
Day 5: Hvar, the Jetset Island
In sharp contrast to Vis and Lastovo, which are distinctly remote and quiet, the island of Hvar is a bustling upper-scale tourist destination. Many splendid yachts, clubs and restaurants adorn this well preserved Venetian port city.
Hvar sports beautiful trails with breathtaking sea and mountain views. We will ride 40-50 km of mountain trails, with an accumulative climb of 600-1000 meters, overlooking the amazing sea and mountain views. Nevertheless, we will not be angry if you decide to relinquish your bike and enjoy this island and our yacht with your significant other or friends by kayak, motor sailor, bike, moped or rental vehicle.
Day 6: Korcula, the Emerald Island
On this sixth straight day of biking, we decided to take it a bit easier. We will ride about 30 km in green hills overlooking Korcula and the blue sea.
The yacht will sail an hour and a half to the town of Lumbarda, where we will await the riders and soak up some sun on one of the secluded sandy beaches.
Upon the riders’ return, we will set sail for Dubrovnik (4 hours away).
Day 7: Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic
Our last day is devoted to the amazing old city of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO-declared world heritage site. If you insist on one last ride, join us for a morning ride in the hills overlooking the city by the sea.
